Septic tankers for rent in Dubai

Renting septic tankers in Dubai

Where a site or a labour camp is not on the sewer, a septic tanker empties the holding tank and disposes of the waste at the municipality treatment plant. It is a vacuum tanker hired per load, and for camps and long-running sites it is booked on a weekly or daily schedule.

Disposal must go to an approved plant and the operator should hold the municipality permit for it. A serious owner can tell you where the load goes; that matters, because illegal dumping is fined and the site can be held responsible.

Where to find them in Dubai

Dubai has the largest pool of pickups and tankers in the country. Drivers wait at stands in Al Quoz, Al Qusais and Ras Al Khor industrial areas and around Jebel Ali and Dubai Investment Park, so a truck for a Dubai site is rarely more than half an hour away. Dubai-plated trucks pick up anywhere in the emirate; for a job that starts in Sharjah or Ajman, check the listing's pick-up area first.

What to ask the owner

• What is the tank capacity in gallons and the price per load?
• Where is the waste disposed of, and does the operator hold the municipality permit?
• Can they come on a fixed schedule for a camp, and what does a same-day call cost?
• How long a hose do they carry to reach a tank at the back of the plot?

Common questions

How often does a labour camp septic tank need emptying?

It depends on the tank size and the number of people. Owners on Ujrah usually quote a weekly or twice-weekly schedule once you tell them the camp size.

Is a septic tanker the same as a water tanker?

No. It is a vacuum tanker that sucks waste out and is never used for water. Listings are separate for that reason.
