Gas trucks for rent in Dubai

Renting gas trucks in Dubai

Gas suppliers deliver industrial gas cylinders to sites and workshops: argon and mixed gas for MIG and TIG welding, carbon dioxide, oxygen and acetylene for cutting, nitrogen for testing, and LPG. On Ujrah the listing shows which gases a supplier carries and the price per cylinder, because one truck serves several trades.

Cylinders are usually exchanged, empty for full, and the supplier may ask for a deposit or a cylinder rental if you do not have your own. Delivery is by the run, so grouping cylinders into one order is cheaper.

Where to find them in Dubai

Dubai has the largest pool of pickups and tankers in the country. Drivers wait at stands in Al Quoz, Al Qusais and Ras Al Khor industrial areas and around Jebel Ali and Dubai Investment Park, so a truck for a Dubai site is rarely more than half an hour away. Dubai-plated trucks pick up anywhere in the emirate; for a job that starts in Sharjah or Ajman, check the listing's pick-up area first.

What to ask the owner

• Which gases and cylinder sizes, and is the price per cylinder exchange or refill?
• Is there a cylinder deposit or a monthly cylinder rent?
• What is the delivery charge and the minimum order?
• Are the cylinders tested and within their test date?

Common questions

Which gas do I need for welding?

Argon or an argon mix for MIG and TIG on steel and aluminium, oxygen and acetylene for cutting and brazing. The supplier will confirm from the welding machine you have.

Do I have to buy the cylinder?

Usually not. Suppliers exchange cylinders and may hold a deposit or charge rent for the cylinder while you have it. Bring back the empty and the deposit follows.
