What Ujrah is
Ujrah is a free listing board for construction equipment and transport rental across the United Arab Emirates: pickup trucks, tankers, trailers, forklifts, boom loaders, cranes, wheel loaders, compressors and generators. A renter finds a machine near the site and calls or WhatsApps the owner directly. Ujrah takes no commission, adds no fees and is not a party to the deal.
It runs as an Android app and as this website, in English and Arabic. The website shows every live listing, so a site engineer who never installs anything can still find a truck and call.
Why it was built
Ujrah was built by Scaffworks Scaffolding Industry LLC, a scaffolding rental company that serves over a thousand contractors across the UAE. Its site engineers had the same problem every week: a pickup, a water tanker or a crane was needed by the afternoon, and the only way to find one was to drive to the stand where the trucks wait, read the number painted on a door, and start calling.
Those stands are where the trade really lives. Ujrah puts the same numbers on a phone screen, sorted by what the machine is, its size and where it works, so the engineer calls from the site instead of driving to find a door to read.
How a listing works
An owner or driver lists a machine free from the app in about two minutes: the type, the size, a photo, the number to call and the area it works. Listings stay live for a year. A price is optional, because most owners in this trade quote on the phone once they hear the job and the distance, so a listing without a price is normal, not suspicious.
Renters call or message the owner directly. There is no booking, no middleman and no payment through Ujrah. The rental is agreed between the two of them, the way it always has been, just faster.
Listed by Ujrah
Some listings carry the badge "Listed by Ujrah". These were added by the Ujrah team at a pickup stand, from the number painted on the vehicle, with the driver's knowledge. They are real vehicles waiting for work; the number is the one on the door. If one of them is yours, tap "Your vehicle? Take it over" on the listing and it moves under your own account.
Trust and reporting
A "Verified" badge on a listing means the owner proved that phone number by SMS from the app. A verified company has shown a trade licence. Anyone can report a listing that is wrong, out of date or not answering, and the Ujrah team reviews every report; listings that are reported go out of view while they are checked.
Ujrah does not vet owners beyond that, does not guarantee a machine or a price, and does not hold money. Agree the job, the price and the site on the phone before the machine moves, the same as you would with a number from a stand.

Contractors, site engineers, foremen and anyone who needs a truck or a machine on a UAE site today. Owners and drivers who want their vehicle found by more than the people who happen to pass the stand. Companies with several machines, which can manage them under one company profile with drivers and managers.

Is Ujrah free?
Yes, for both sides. Listing is free, calling is free, and Ujrah takes no commission from any rental.
Does Ujrah take a commission or a booking fee?
No. Ujrah is not a party to the rental. The renter and the owner agree the price and pay each other directly.
Do I need the app to rent something?
No. Every live listing is on this website with the owner's number. The app adds saving favourites, requesting equipment and, for owners, posting and managing listings.
Is there an iPhone app?
Not yet. Owners list from the Android app; renters on any phone can use the website.
How long does a listing stay up?
One year from the day it is posted. The owner can edit, pause or delete it at any time from the app.
What does "Listed by Ujrah" mean?
The Ujrah team added the vehicle at a pickup stand from the number painted on it. The owner can take the listing over into their own account from the listing page.
Why do most listings show no price?
Owners in this trade quote on the phone once they hear the job, the distance and the hours. A listing without a price is the normal case, not a missing detail.
