Loading shovels for rent in Abu Dhabi

Renting loading shovels in Abu Dhabi

The wheel loader, called a شيول (shovel) in the Gulf, loads sand, aggregate and rubble into trucks, spreads and levels fill, and clears sites. It is the machine for earthworks and yard work, hired by the hour, the day or the month with an operator.

Bucket size and the machine's weight decide the rate of work. A small loader handles a villa plot and a yard; road works, quarries and large sites use the bigger classes. It moves between nearby sites under its own power and by lowbed for anything further.

Where to find them in Abu Dhabi

In Abu Dhabi most trucks and machines are based in Mussafah, the ICAD industrial zones and, for the city's western projects, along the road to Al Dhafra. Distances are long here, so ask the owner where the vehicle is parked and whether the trip price covers the run out to your site, especially for tankers and lowbeds.

What to ask the owner

• Bucket capacity and the machine class, and is it right for the material?
• Is the price per hour or per day with the operator, and what is the minimum?
• Who pays for diesel, and how much does it use in a day?
• Is mobilisation to the site included, driving or by lowbed?

Also called: wheel loader, شيول, front loader, loading shovel with operator

Common questions

What is a loading shovel used for?

Loading trucks with sand, aggregate and debris, spreading fill, levelling and clearing. It is the general earthworks machine on most sites.

Is fuel included in a wheel loader rental?

It varies. Daily and monthly hires often exclude diesel and the site supplies it; hourly hires more often include it. Agree it before the machine arrives.
