The backhoe loader is the digger of the UAE site: a wheeled tractor with a loader bucket at the front and a digging arm at the back, the machine the trade simply calls a JCB whoever built it. Backhoe loader or excavator?
A backhoe loader drives on the road, loads as well as digs, and is the cheaper hire for trenches, footings and small jobs. A tracked excavator digs deeper and faster but must come on a lowbed, so it suits bulk excavation.
